In September of 2022, Kenzie’s best friend, Karli, convinced her to get out of the house and visit some friends. When she walked into the room, William was sitting on the couch; she was instantly drawn to him. Though Kenzie only stayed for about 30 minutes before leaving, she couldn’t stop thinking about that night—and William.

However, their paths did not cross again until December 12th. Kenzie and William both attended Karli’s 20th birthday party at a local restaurant. Here, William noticed how beautiful Kenzie is. Shortly after, Karli and Dylan, William’s good friend, decided to set them up, unbeknownst to Kenzie. On January 5th, a group of William’s co-workers gathered for dinner at the Dixie Chicken, and Karli convinced Kenzie to join. They shot pool and shared a few jokes, but did not talk much.

After a few weeks passed, they started texting and attending group events, hoping to see each other. Knowing Kenzie better now, William invited her to his Aggie ring dunk party. Less than two weeks later, they had their first official date at a restaurant in downtown Bryan. Fourteen days of awkward dates later, William asked Kenzie if she would be his girlfriend.

On January 8th, 2025, William took Kenzie for a walk around campus. It was cold and dark, with hardly anyone around. They walked under the Century Tree once, then again. On the second pass, William got down on one knee and proposed. It was a moment they’ll both remember forever, and they can’t wait to celebrate their big day with all of you!
